Directorate of Media Policies and Foreign Media
The Directorate of Media Policies and Foreign Media is responsible for contributing to the development of the plans and programs required to implement the General Policy on Media and Government Communication, supervising and following up on them; establishing cooperation arrangements with Arab and foreign counterparts in the field of media; conveying a positive image of the Kingdom abroad in cooperation with the relevant entities; monitoring studies, reports, and research related to the Kingdom and proposing ways to address them from a media perspective; and strengthening media and information literacy.

Functions of the Directorate
The Directorate of Media Policies and Foreign Media undertakes the following functions:
Preparing local, Arab, and foreign media reports, as well as studies and research.
Preparing and following up on media agreements, memoranda of understanding, and cooperation with Arab and foreign countries.
Monitoring reports concerning media freedom and preparing responses to them.
Monitoring and analyzing local, Arab, and foreign media.
Following up on media and information literacy projects.
Carrying out any other tasks assigned to the Directorate within its scope of work.
