Ministry of Government Communication
The Administrative System of the Ministry of Government Communication No. 65 of 2022 was issued in the Official Gazette No. 5825 on 16/11/2022. The system defined the Ministry’s tasks and powers, entrusting the Ministry with the task of setting a general policy for governmental information and communication based on a number of principles.
The Principles :
These principles include adherence to the provisions of the Constitution as a guarantor of Freedom of expression, promotion of democracy, political pluralism, and the role of national media in defending the higher interests of the state and adhering to the inherent values of Jordanian society. .png)
The Main Goals of Ministry:

Protect media pluralism and diversity and enhance its role in accordance with the legislation in force and the right of the public to professional and objective media that respects reason, truth, human dignity and freedom.

Increasing citizens’ awareness of their rights and duties, and promoting the principles of equality, justice and the rule of law.

Set necessary plans and programs to implement, supervise and follow up on the general policy of media and government communication.

Provide basic information related to the government and state institutions to various communication and media outlets, and strengthen cooperation with them.

Prepare press materials related to the government and national events in cooperation and coordination with government media institutions.

Provide technical support to media spokespersons at ministries, government departments and institutions, build their capacities.

Spread media and information awareness, address rumors and hate speech and violations of the sanctity of private life and promote the kingdom’s positive image abroad.

Organizing government media events in coordination with the concerned authorities, following up on studies, reports and research related to the Kingdom. offering guidance as to how it should be handled by the media.

Informing the public about government policies, plans, programs, approaches and legislation it prepares, and encouraging the expression of opinion and meaningful dialogue towards such events.
